Notes

  • The main park entrance is on Windeler Road, near the intersection with Aldrich Road.
  • There’s an upstairs meeting room with a fire and a view of the reservoir. Some hikers bring lunch and hang out there after walking.

Meeting Point

There are six separate parking areas, and there’s no fixed meeting point. Look for the hike leader’s car, which will probably have the trunk raised.

Directions

Route 33 west:

  • Go south on Route 9 and take the jug-handle to turn left (east) onto Georgia Tavern Road.
  • After 0.3 miles turn right onto Windeler Road.
  • Continue 1.5 miles to the Manasquan Reservoir entrance on the left.

Garden State Parkway:

  • Take exit 98 to Interstate I-195 west.
  • Proceed on I-195 to exit 28B, Rte 9 north.
  • Stay in the right lane to the first traffic light, then turn right onto Georgia Tavern Road.
  • After 0.3 miles turn right onto Windeler Road.
  • Continue 1.5 miles to the Manasquan Reservoir entrance on the left.
